Title:
NOISE SUPPRESSING DEVICE FOR SPARK IGNITOR WITHOUT DISTRIBUTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5666455
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an excellect noise suppressing effect by mounting a connector code of disrtubuter type noise suppressing device to an ignition plug terminal where a distribution of transient capacitance discharge current flowing immediately after a spark discharge becomes large and shielding the vicinity of the ignition plug with a cylindrical cover.

CONSTITUTION: A resistor including ignition plug 16 of the igniting device for two- wheeled vehicle, outboard engine, etc. is secured to a cylinder head 12 and connected to its terminal 15 with a metal connector 10. A plug code 14 is connected to the ignition plug 16 through the metal connector 10 and the plug code 14 may preferably be a wound resistor including plug code of the distribution type noise suppressing device type. On the other hand, a cylindrical shielding body 13 is formed integrally with the cylinder head 12 for shielding both the ignition plug 16 and the metal connector 10. The shielding body 13 is positioned high enough to exceed the top 10a of the metal connector 10. An excellent noise suppressing effect can be obtained by the above-mentioned construction.
