To prevent generation of a radiation electromagnetic wave noise by a mechanical collision between contact point metals by covering a surface of fixed contact points or a movable contact point of a high voltage relay housed in a vacuum vessel or a vessel in which inert gas is sealed, with a nonmetallic conductive layer which has high resistance and absorbs a mechanical shock.
A normally closed fixed contact point 14, a normally opened fixed contact point 15 and a common contact point 16 electrically connected to a movable contact point 13, are arranged in a vacuum vessel or a vessel 11 in which inert gas or the like is sealed, and a high voltage relay 10 is constituted. A surface of the normally closed fixed contact point 14 and the normally opened fixed contact point 15 is covered with a conductive layer 17 composed of conductive rubber or conductive plastic or the like being a conductive material having high resistance. Therefore, when the movable contact point 13 contacts with the normally closed fixed contact point 14 or the normally opened fixed contact point 15, a shock is absorbed by the conductive layer 17, and a mechanical impactive collision between contact point metals is eliminated, and opening-closing of a large electric current is eliminated by being electrically connected through the conductive layer 17 having high resistance, and generation of a radiation electromagnetic wave noise is prevented.
