To make the positive electrode sheets 20, 21 constituting a positive electrode 3 full of flexibility and bendable in a non-aqueous electrolytic solution battery which has as an battery element an electrode wound body 6 formed by winding a positive electrode 3 of sheet form with a large thickness dimension and short together with a negative electrode 4 and a separator 5.
The positive electrode sheets 20, 21 are manufactured through a preliminary rolling process in which a positive electrode mixture containing manganese dioxide as a positive electrode active material, a conductive assistant, and poly-4-ethylene fluoride as a binder is applied a rolling treatment and made into a sheet form, a drying process for drying the sheet object obtained by the preliminary process, a pulverization process to pulverize the sheet object which has passed the drying process into an average particle size of 1 mm or less, and a final rolling process to roll again the pulverized object obtained by the pulverization process into a sheet form of a thickness of 0.7 mm or more and 2 mm or less. It is preferable that the length of the fiber of poly-4-ethylene fluoride after the pulverization process is average 30 μm or more and 150 μm or less.
