To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent safety by preventing overcharge and internal short-circuit at a place where cathode and anode activator and a nonaqueous solvent coexist.
The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with an electrode group formed by winding a cathode plate, an anode plate, and a separator interposed between both electrode plates, as well as nonaqueous electrolyte solution. At least a pare of the cathode plate and the anode plate have at least an exposed part of a collector respectively. A metal, soluble in electrolyte liquid when a battery voltage exceeds a prescribed voltage, is arranged on a surface of the exposed part of the cathode current corrector facing the exposed part of anode current corrector.
