Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte that has a high energy density and is excellent in safety when used for a lithium secondary battery, and to provide the lithium secondary battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: (1) In this nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent and a lithium electrolyte, a phosphate, in which at least one of hydrogen atoms of phosphoric acid or polyphosphoric acid is substituted by a group represented by Formula 1, is added as the nonaqueous solvent. Formula 1: (In the formula, X represents Si atom or the like, and R1-R3 represent alkyl radicals with carbon number of 1-10 or the like). (2) In the nonaqueous electrolyte containing a nonaqueous solvent and a lithium electrolyte, as the nonaqueous solvent, a phosphate, in which at least one of hydrogen atoms of phosphoric acid or polyphosphoric acid is substituted by the group represented by Formula [1], is contained. (3) In a lithium secondary battery comprising a positive electrode permitting lithium ions to be doped or de-doped, a negative electrode composed of lithium metal or a lithium alloy, or a negative electrode permitting lithium ions to be doped or de-doped, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a separator, the nonaqueous electrolyte is a nonaqueous electrolyte of (1) or (2).
