Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfonic compound useful as an intermediate raw material for a medicine, an agrochemical, an electronic material, a polymer material or the like, or as a battery material, and further to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte excellent in battery characteristics such as storage characteristics of a primary battery and high temperature cycle characteristics in use of a secondary battery at high voltage, and a lithium battery including the nonaqueous electrolyte.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte in which an electrolyte salt is dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent contains 0.01-10 mass% of a sulfonic compound represented by the following formula in the nonaqueous electrolyte. A lithium battery incudes the nonaqueous electrolyte. (In the formula, Rrepresents one of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, a cycloalkyl group and an aryl group, Rand Reach represent one of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group and an aryl group, and Rand Rmay bond each other to form a ring.)
