Title:
NON-ASBESTOS CEMENT COMPOSITION FOR EXTRUSION MOLDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06135754
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an asbestos-free cement base compd. for extrusion molding so that the ageing time after molding is reduced and extrusion molding at a high temp. can be performed with high productivity.

CONSTITUTION: This compsn. for extrusion molding is obtd. by adding hydroxyethylcellulose by 0.7-3wt.% to a mixture of non-asbestos fiber and cement binder. The hydroxyethylcellulose used has such properties that the substitution degree of hydroxyethyl groups is >45% and viscosity of 2% aq. soln. at 20°C is ≥15000cp. When 0.2 pt.wt. of the hydroxyethylcelullose is added to a cement paste consisting of 100 pts.wt. of normal portland cement and 100 pts.wt. of water, retardation of setting time of the cement paste is <70min. Retardation of setting time represents the difference between median value (A) of setting for the cement paste before the addition of hydroxyethylcelullose and median value (B) of setting for the cement paste after addition. The median value (A) is obtd. by measuring the difference between the starting point and terminating point of setting of the cement paste consisting of portland cement and water according to JISR-5201. The median value (B) is obtd. by the same method as for (A).
