Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a non-contact point ignition device that does not cause any wrong operation even if a noise signal enters an ignition device by masking the input circuit of a pickup signal on one side with one regular signal and another signal set to retard.

CONSTITUTION: Pickup coils 202 and 302 generate positive and negative signal waves by a rotor rotating according to an internal combustion engine. A control circuit 4 controls ignition coils 5 and 6 turning on and shutting off the electricity through power transistors 415 and 430 by a pickup coil signal. A resistor 433 and a condenser 434 are delayed circuits for a rectangle wave generated by a transister 412. The voltage of these delayed circuits, being run through a diode 435 and a resistor 436 to the base of a transister 423 on the opposite side to deepen a bias, increase the threshold voltage. Further, pulse caused by a wrong operation can be eliminated by a transister 408, functioning the same as the transistor 423, a rectangle wave on the opposite side and a delayed mask signal.
