Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact power charger capable of solving a problem that, when a Doppler sensor is used, for example, as a means for detecting foreign matters, the sensor is subjected to a magnetic field which is radiated from the primary coil, and capable of reliably detecting a foreign matter entered between a primary coil of the power supply unit and a secondary coil of the power reception unit.SOLUTION: A power supply unit 2 supplies the power to a power reception unit 4 in a non contact manner. The power supply unit 2 includes: a substrate 110; a primary coil 102 which is disposed on the substrate 110 to generate a magnetic flux using AC current; a cover 111 attached to the substrate 110 to cover the primary coil 102; and a foreign matter detection means 14 that detects movement of object on the cover 111. The non-contact power charger uses a Doppler sensor as the foreign matter detection means 14 which is disposed at a position lower than a primary magnetic core 112.
