Abstract:

To provide a non-contact communication system with a simple constitution which can reduce heat generation caused by power differences of receiving power.

The non-contact communication system is so constituted that power is fed in a non-contact manner from a reader/writer device to an IC card by the electromagnetic coupling of an antenna coil for feeding power provided in the reader/writer device, and an antenna coil for receiving power provided in the IC card. The method is for adjusting the electromagnetic coupling characteristic between the reader/writer device and the IC card. The power feeder is further provided with an impedance element for adjustment to be connected to the antenna coil for feeding power serially and in parallel. The impedance of the impedance element for adjustment is decided so that the receiving power received by an semiconductor device becomes maximum when a communication distance from the antenna coil for feeding power to the antenna coil for receiving power is a prescribed value which is larger than zero.
