Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make whole constitution long-lived, high accurate, and compact by installing a static pressure fluid bearing on the internal circumference of the end of a cylinder, forming minute gaps between the outside surface of a piston and the inner surface of the cylinder and between the cylinder and the static pressure fluid bearing and giving fluid pressure in a cylinder room.

CONSTITUTION: A piston shaft 2 being able to revolve is extended from a cylinder 1, air bearings 7, 8 for supporting the piston shaft 2 without contacting it are installed on the inner circumference of the cylinder 1 and a non-contact seal part owing to minute gaps 10, 11 between the outer circumference of the piston and the inner circumference of a cylinder room. And fluid pressure supplied from a pushing pressure air hole 5 and a returning pressure air hole 6 to a cylinder room 4 enables the piston shaft 2 to move in an axial direction to make this piston shaft a spindle shaft. Therefore, it is possible to bring movement in the axial direction and force pushing in the axial direction without hurting the characteristics of a static pressure bearing such as no friction, high precision and long life.
