Abstract:
To provide a nondestructive material evaluation method utilizing a diffraction ring, which yields high evaluation accuracy.SOLUTION: A diffraction ring obtained by irradiating a polycrystal metal material with an X-ray is characterized in that, except when irradiated in a direction perpendicular to the material surface, a change of immersion depth of the X-ray in each region of the diffraction ring, where the measurement depth of data over the entire circumference of the diffraction ring is acquired by irradiation with the X-ray at a prescribed incident angle, is acquired using a two-dimensional X-ray detector, and information pertaining to physical properties is evaluated from the change of immersion depth of the X-ray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
