Abstract:

To provide a non-directional antenna which is almost non-directional in a horizontal plane, wide in a frequency range, excellent in workability for its mounting on a vehicle, and suitable for receiving broadcasting waves.

The nondirectional antenna 10 receiving ground waves is composed of a loop-shaped element 10A provided to a front window 2 as a part formed of the dielectric material of a vehicle 1, and feeding points 11 and 12 of the loop-shaped element 10A located near the lateral pillars 3L and 3R as conductors constituting the vehicle 1. In this case, a passive element 10B formed of a conductor independent from the conductors that constitute the loop-shaped element 10A is arranged close to the loop-shaped element 10A so as to receive a circularly polarized waves.
