Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector which enhances operating efficiency of a machine to be protected.
SOLUTION: The protector 1 comprises a metal header 30 to which a first terminal 31 and a second terminal 32 are insulatedly fixed, a metal can 10 fixed to the header 30 and forming a space inside, a fixed contact 40 electrically connected to the first terminal 31, a heater 50 electrically connected to the second terminal 32 so that a current path is formed between the second terminal 32 and the header 30, and an arm assembly 60 disposed in the space, an end of the arm assembly 60 being fixed to the can 10. The arm assembly 60 comprises a conductive moving plate 70 having a moving contact 77 contactable to the fixed contact 40, a thermally-actuated member 80 placed overlapping the moving plate 70, and a conductive fixing member 90 for fixing the moving plate 70 and the thermally-actuated member 80 to the can 10.
