PURPOSE: To obtain a cleanser composition free from the danger of fire, having an excellent cleansing force in response to wide kinds of oily and fatty substances, satisfying various kinds of demands such as supply at a low cost, and not causing the deterioration of the environments of the earth.

CONSTITUTION: A non-flammable cleanser composition comprising 10-84wt.% of 3-methoxy-3-methylbutanol and 90-16wt.% of water. Or a non-flammable cleanser composition comprising 10-80wt.% of the 3-methoxy-3-methylbutanol, 90-20wt.% of water, 0-60wt.% of a compound selected from an aliphatic dihydric alcohol mono lower alkyl ether acetate, a 6-12C monohydric alcohol, a 3-6C N-alkylamide compound, and a 8-12 ketone compound, and 0-20wt.% of a surfactant.
