PURPOSE: To improve the cold forgeability, corrosion resistance, and tape resistance of the title Al alloy stock to be obtained by specifying respective contents of Si, Cu, and Ti.
CONSTITUTION: A non-heattreated-type Al alloy stock having a composition consisting of, by weight, 1.8W4.0% Si, 3.5W5.5% Cu, 0.005W0.1% Ti, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is prepared. If necessary, 0.05W0.3% Sn is added to the above composition. By the above composition, the problem of interior dimensional accuracy due to hardening strain is obviated owing to the omission of heat treatment stage and the hardness in a tape contacting part is regulated to the prescribed value, and further, superior cold forgeability, corrosion resistance, and tape resistance can be obtained.
