PURPOSE: To accomplish color recording according to the signal by scanning the light of the light source for color development of photosensitive liquid with a deflecting means of the light source after the liquid is sprayed over the recording paper according to the signal.

CONSTITUTION: Along with right movement of the print head 10, a pressure generator 12 of a photosensitive liquid spraying means 11 is driven prior to the recording according to the signal of a signal generator 17 to spray the photosensitive liquid on the recording paper 18 through two nozzles 13. Therefore, a color developing beam 16 is scanned over the recording paper 18 to develop color of the liquid sprayed on the paper 18 for recording letters or figures. At this point, in the color developing optical system 15, a rotary mirror 24 always rotates and the generator 17 outputs the modulation signal 25 synchronizing with the rotation synchronization signal to modulate the color developing light source 23. The color developing beam 16 thus modulated is reflected on the mirror 24, deflected following the rotation of the mirror 24 and vertically scanns over the paper to develop color in the portion corresponding to the signal for recording letters, figures and the like.
