Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the non-linear synapse neuron for predicting a future signal value or a value of an unknown coordinate from a known time series signal or a space coordinate signal.
CONSTITUTION: To an input signal, non-linear weighting is given, and by adding these signals to which weighting is imparted, a predictor is outputted. Weighting of a non-linear synapse 10 is determined by learning of plural times, therefore, the non-linear synapse 10 is constituted of a multi-degree multinomical expression or a fuzzy inference circuit. The multi-degree multinomical expression consists of a variable function shown by f(x)=a0+a1x+a2x2+a3x3-anxn. Also, in the case of determining the non-linear synapse 10 by a fuzzy inference, plural complementary membership function means and a weighting circuit in which a degree of weighing is determined by a grade of each membership function are used.
