Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a two-component developer of a little 'toner spent' (a phenomenon such that the surface of carrier is contaminated with toner components) and high durability.
CONSTITUTION: This non-magnetic two-component developer contains at least binding resin and a coloring agent, does not contain magnetic substance, and constituted of toner of narrow particle size distribution in which the ratio volumetric mean particle size dV to number mean particle size dn satisfies the relation 1≤dV/dn≤1, and a carrier not containing magnetic substance capable of electrifying the charge polarity opposite to the toner, and the volumetric mean particle size of the carrier is under five times the volumetric mean particle size of the toner, and the minimum particle size in the particle size distribution is over 1.5 times the maximum particle size of the toner.
