PURPOSE: A non-pollution and nontoxic lubricating oil composition, excellent in industrial hygiene and preservation of the environment, and comprising δ-toxopherol and tocol as antioxidants in a lubricating oil of a saturated hydrocarbon as a base oil.

CONSTITUTION: (A) A lubricating oil of a saturated hydrocarbon, e.g. squalane, is incorporated with (B) δ-tocopherol and tocol (an unsubstituted tocopherol having alkyl groups at both sides of the OH group) as antioxidants in an amount of preferably 0.3wt% or more to give the aimed lubricating oil composition.

EFFECT: Excellent antioxidant property even in air at a high temperature and pressure.

USE: Prevention of abrasion ans corrosion of various machines, formation of a seal, transmission of force electrical insulation, etc.
