Title:
NON-SELF-PRIMING SUBMERGED PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003222093
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a non-self-priming submerged pump, in which increase of the rotation speed of an impeller is made unnecessary, even if the diameter of the impeller in the suction pipe provided under the liquid level is made smaller.

The pump 1 comprises a pump main-body 2 placid above the level, and a drawing pipe 3 submerged in the downward liquid. The pump main- body 2 comprises an upper impeller 17 for operating a pumping action, a motor 5, and a discharge port 15 for sending out liquid from the impeller 17. The pipe 3 is provided with a suction port 14 for sucking liquid to the tip end. A lower impeller 18 is provided right above the suction port 14. The impellers 17, 18 are respectively secured to a rotation shaft 16 driven by the motor 5. The liquid is forced up by the lower impeller 18 to the impeller 17, which sends the liquid to the outside.
