To provide a non-slip material which is tough and excellent in rust- preventive property and to provide a method for producing the same, which is comprises of arranging metal particles on the surface of a metal plate body and then coating the surface with a metal.
The non-slip material 1 has a metal plate body 2, metal particle parts 3 for inhibiting slip and a metal coated part. As the metal particles are protected by the metal coating, the slip inhibiting effect is maintained without formation of rust or exfoliation even when it is used for a long period of time. The method for producing the non-slip material is comprised of fixing a magnet housing body housing an electromagnet in it, on the back side of the metal plate body, then, while keeping this state, sticking the metal plate body onto the surface side of a holding board arranged with metal particles, afterward, withdrawing the metal plate body from the holding board together with the metal particles which are released from the holding board and allowed to adhere to the surface side of the metal plate body by the magnetic force, further, dipping the metal plate-like body into a molten metal bath while maintaining the state that the metal plate body is fixed to the magnet housing body and finally withdrawing the metal plate body to form the metal coated part.
