Abstract:
To provide a memory capable of reducing an overhead at data writing.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a nonvolatile memory comprises a memory element, a buffer, and a control circuit. When a first command requesting data reading from the memory element is received, the control circuit reads data requested by the first command from the memory element, transmits the read data to a first command issuance source, and stores the data in the buffer. When a second command requesting data writing into the memory element is received, the control circuit compares data whose writing is requested by the second command with the data stored in the buffer without reading the data stored in a writing destination of data whose wiring is requested by the second command from the memory element, and writes data of a portion different from the data stored in the buffer into the memory element among data whose writing is requested by the second command.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
