Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having superior battery capacity holding characteristic by suppressing the elution of manganese from lithium- manganese oxide.
SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a lithium-manganese oxide having spinel type crystal structure containing lithium and manganese, a positive electrode 1 including a conductive agent; a negative electrode 2, a main solvent comprising ethylene carbonate or propylene carbonate, and are electrolyte in which lithium phosphate hexafluoride is dissolved in mixture solution in which dimethyl carbonate is mixed, and the lithium- manganese oxide in the positive electrode 1 is expressed by an expression Li1+xMn2-xO4 (where, x within a range of 0.05 to 0.14). Weight composite ratio of the conductive agent to the lithium-manganese oxide is equal to 5 to 15%. The mean diameter of the conductive agent is equal to 30 μm or less. Volume ratio of a second solvent to the main solvent of the electrolyte lies within the range of 0.3 to 1.
