To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with excellent cycle characteristics, and to provide its manufacturing method.
The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a cathode 1 and an anode 2 capable of reversibly storing and discharging lithium, a separator 3 arranged in between the cathode and the anode, a battery case housing the cathode; the anode and the separator, nonaqueous electrolyte solution filled in the battery case and containing at least one kind of either vinylene carbonate or vinyl ethylene carbonate; and a gel 16, containing at least a part of the nonaqueous solution and polymer with cationic polymerization and adhering at least either in between the cathode and the separator, or in between the anode and the separator.
