To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can improve yield while maintaining an excellent connected state of each terminal part and an electrode group over a long period of time by suppressing the corrosion of the terminal part; and to provide a method for manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.
The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes: the electrode group 20 having a positive electrode plate 21 and a negative electrode plate 22 arranged through a separator 23; a pair of current collecting members 30 connected to the positive electrode plate 21 and the negative electrode plate 22 respectively; and outer members 40, 50 storing the electrode group 20 and the current collecting members 30. The current collecting member 30 includes a terminal part 60 integrally formed by drawing a metal plate and projected to the outside of the outer member 50, and including a protrusion 35 formed with an external thread part 36 on the outer peripheral surface.
