In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery whose structure is such that an electrolyte layer 3 is held between a positive electrode plate 1 and a negative electrode plate 2, the positive electrode plate 1 and the negative electrode plate 2 are such a structure provided with an electrode mixture layer containing a current collector and an active material on only protrusive surface side of a curved substrate made of an elastic body, and such a construction that the protrusive surface sides of the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode plate 2 are opposed to each other via the electrolyte layer 3.
