To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is superior in discharge load characteristics and for realizing improvement of safety when overcharged.
The nonaqueous secondary battery 10 includes a negative electrode plate 11 in which a negative electrode active material mixture layer is installed at a surface of a negative electrode core body, a positive electrode plate 12 in which a positive electrode active material mixture layer is installed at a surface of a positive electrode core body, an electrode body 14 in which the negative electrode plate 11 and the positive electrode plate 12 are mutually wound around or laminated via a separator 13, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The electrolyte body 14 and the nonaqueous electrolyte are inserted into the battery armoring can 15, and sealed by a sealing plate 16 equipped with a safety valve mechanism (not illustrated) in which an opening part of the battery armoring can 15 is operated by an inner pressure elevation. The battery armoring can 15 is electrically connected to the positive electrode plate 12, and a layer 22 composed of a mixture of lithium carbonate and a conductive agent is arranged at the inside of the battery armoring can 15.
