Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015207443
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a pressure-actuated current interrupt device mechanism, and arranged to be able to achieve battery characteristics in normal use and an overcharge resistance at a high level.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises an electrode body having a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte, which are enclosed in a battery case. The battery case has a current interrupt device mechanism which operates with the pressure in the case raised. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains cyclohexylbenzene and 4,4'-difluorobiphenyl as gas generating agent which decomposes and generates gas when the battery is brought into the state of being overcharged. In addition, when it is supposed that the total of the nonaqueous electrolyte is 100 mass%, the ratio (W2/W1) of the content W2 (mass%) of the 4,4'-difluorobiphenyl to the content W1 (mass%) of the cyclohexylbenzene is 0.025-0.25.
