Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3427570
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with high charge/discharge efficiency and high energy density by constituting a positive electrode with a sinter of a lithium composite oxide.
CONSTITUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery is constituted with a negative electrode mainly comprising a carbonaceous material, metallic lithium, or a lithium alloy, a positive electrode mainly comprising a sinter of a lithium composite oxide, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The volume density of the sinter of the lithium composite oxide is preferable to be 2.0-4.3g/ml. The positive electrode prepared by combining a current collector with the sinter of the lithium composite oxide is also usable. By combining the current collector, conductivity of the positive electrode is further increased. As the current collector, aluminium is generally used.
