A negative electrode pellet 2 contained in a negative electrode can 1 is put on a positive electrode pellet 4 contained in a positive electrode can 3 facing each other through a separator 6, and the negative electrode can 1 and the positive electrode can 3 are caulked to seal through a circular gasket 5 to provide so called a coin shape nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery. The gasket 5 has an outside circular part interposed between the negative electrode can 1 and the positive electrode can 3 and an inside circular part facing an inner part of the battery. A projection that supports the positive electrode pellet 4 at the position opposing to the positive electrode pellet 4 of an inner surface of the inside circular part. A projection formed on an inner surface of the inside circular part of the gasket 5 comes in contact with an outer surface of the positive electrode pellet 4 to position it. Therefore, a position of the positive electrode pellet 4 does not shift carelessly while assembling the battery.
