Title:
NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3882447
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell with improved service capacity without lowering charging and discharging cycle, in comparison with conventional nonaqueous secondary cell using carbon as anode material.
SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell is made of compound particles with the structure that the whole or partial area surrounding core particles of solid phase A, composed of at least one element out of Si, Sn or Zn, is covered by a solid phase B, here, the solid phase B is composed of solid solution or intermetallic compound of one of Si, Sn, Zn composing the solid phase A, and an element chosen from group 2 elements, transition elements, or group 12, 13, and 14 elements of periodic table (except the elements constituting the solid phase A and carbon). The compound particles include 1-50 weight % of ceramics.
