The nonaqueous secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution, the positive electrode has a transition metal oxide as the active material thereof, and the nonaqueous electrolytic solution contains, in an organic solvent, an electrolyte and less than 0.1 mol/L of an organic metal compound having a transition element or a rare earth element as the central metal.
