Title:
NONAQUEOUS SECONDARY BATTERY AND ITS GAS EJECTION PREVENTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2934827
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid sudden gas generation even when a battery is crushed by the outside force by forming a saw-tooth part at least one end of the joint of a center pin.
SOLUTION: A saw-tooth part 2 is formed at least one end in the joint of a column-shaped center pin 1, the center pin 1 deforms according to the deformation of a battery can, the saw-tooth part 2 is projected, and an electrode or a separator is pierced. The saw-tooth part 2 is arranged along the inner circumference of the central space formed by spirally wound electrodes, and the joint is preferably displaced in the thickness direction so as to project to the wound electrode part only when a battery is crushed. As the material of the pin, stainless steel is excel in corrosion resistance and conductivity, but the use of aluminum, surface oxidized aluminum, titanium, or zirconium, each capable of reducing the weight 50% or more compared with stainless steel pin is preferable.
