PURPOSE: To enhance workability by integrally connecting an outer frame member and a sash frame arranged inside of it to each other by a connecting frame member, and covering the exterior trim side between the sash frame and the outer frame member with an exterior facing wall plate.
CONSTITUTION: A nonbearing exterior wall unit 10 is formed by integrally connecting an outer frame member 11 and a sash frame 12 to each other by a connecting member 13, and strength to holdt a sash is sufficiently secured. Next, when the unit 10 is installed in an opening part of a structural building frame, a backing frame member 22 is fixed to a prescribed position of an opening part upper wall 20 and a lower wall 21. Next, the unit 10 is moved from outside of the backing frame member 22, and the frame member 22 is brought into contact with an engaging surface with the upper and lower outer frames 11. A bracket 24 is brought into contact with the frame member 22, and the unit 10 is held by fastening a bolt 25. An interior trim wall plate 28 is fitted in between the sash frame 12 on the interior trim side of the unit 10, a ceiling surface and a floor surface. Therefore, field mounting of the sash frame and an exterior trim wall plate can be made unnecessary, and strength and durability can be improved.
