PURPOSE: To obtain output excellent in linearity with simple structure by providing a magnetic transfer element between the tips of yokes consisting of a permanent magnet and magnetic substances, and arranging a movable magnetic substance where the facing area of an adjacent part in parallel with the yokes increases or decreases, and detecting the output change of a magnetic transfer element according to the shift.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of yokes 2a and 2b are extended in parallel with the N and S poles of a permanent magnet 1, and a magnetic path is closed leaving space 3. At the space 3 is fixed a hole element 4. Furthermore, a movable magnetic substance 5 which can slide in the X direction while keeping space between a pair of yokes 2a and 2b and itself is provided in parallel with a pair of yokes 2a and 2b. The movable magnetic substance 5 straddles on each of a pair of yokes 2a and 2b. When the movable magnetic substance 5 is located at the leftmost position X, the amounts of short-circuit magnetic flux j flowing between the yokes 2a and 2b along the movable magnetic substance 5 become maximum, in contrast with this the amounts of main magnetic flux i penetrating the hole element become minimum. And as it shifts in the X direction, the amounts of short circuit magnetic flux i decrease and the amounts of the main magnetic flux increase.
