Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a nonflammable and abrasion resistant electric insulating composition and an electric wire covered with it.
CONSTITUTION: This nonflammable and abrasion resistance electric insulating composition is a composition in which amine phosphate or ammonium phosphate is mixed as a nonflammable agent into a polyorefin series resin which has durometer D hardness of not less than 50. Further, a nonflammable assistant such as melamine can be mixed thereinto. An electric wire covered with the composition by using this composition as an insulating material or sheath material has excellent nonflammability, abrasion resistance and insulating and mechanical characteristics.
