The nonflammable ornamental plate comprises a core layer and the ornamental layer. The core layer is constituted of two or more prepregs prepared by impregnating a nonwoven fabric of inorganic fibers with a slurry of an organic component and an inorganic filler, and the content of the organic component contained in the prepreg adjacent to the ornamental layer is higher than that of the organic component contained in the prepreg not adjacent to the ornamental layer. Besides, the content of the organic component shown by formula 2 is 8-100% in the prepreg adjacent to the ornamental layer and 3-20% in the prepreg not adjacent to this layer. As for the inorganic fibers, glass fibers, rock wool, carbon fibers or others are used.
