To always maintain the rotating direction of an alternator in the same direction even if engaging and releasing a lock-up clutch in an automobile starting device comprising the clutch for locking up a planetary gear and planetary operation, and the alternator taking charge of the generation of reaction.
The starting device in Figure 1 is provided with two systems of power transmission lines for transmitting mutually reverse rotation to the alternator, and a structure of providing one-way clutch in each transmission line is combined to solve the problem. Although a structure of converting normal and reverse input rotation into one-way output rotation is well known, a great effect of improving fuel economy and kick-down response and reducing the wear of the lock-up clutch can be expected from the above combination with the starting device.
