Abstract:

To effectively link a nonlinear process model with a conventional PI control system.

The nonlinear process control device comprises: a process variable control means 8 by a PI(D) controller; a process state/external input estimation means 4 that estimates the non-metric external input and the process state of the process; a process state recording means 5 that records the present state of the process; a process constant supply means 6 that supplies a process gain K and a process time constant T according to the state recorded in the process state recording means by a process model that simulates the behavior of the process based on the process state and the process external input supplied by the process state recording means; and a control parameter determination means 7 that determines a proportional gain Kp and an integral time TI of the PI(D) controller, using at least the process gain K and the process time constant T supplied by the process constant supply means.
