Title:
NONORIENTED SILICON STEEL SHEET EXCELLENT IN WORKABILITY, AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001192788
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a nonoriented silicon steel sheet excellent in performance when used for motor by a simplified means without causing reduction in space factor, and its manufacturing method.

The steel sheet has a steel composition consisting of ≤0.01% C, ≤3.0% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, ≤0.01% S, ≤3.0% acid-soluble Al, ≤0.1% P, ≤0.005% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The steel sheet has 0.20-0.70 mm final product sheet thickness, ≤0.5 μm Ra center line average height of surface roughness, and ≤220 Vickers hardness by 1 kg load measurement. In manufacturing the steel sheet, a slab is heated to ≤1,300°C and hot rolled. After hot-rolled-plate annealing at 600-1,100°C or in the as-hot-rolled state, the resultant plate is cold rolled once or is cold rolled twice while process-annealed between the cold rolling steps and finished to the prescribed sheet thickness and center line average height. After finish annealing by continuous annealing at 700-1,150°C, surface coating composed of organic, or organic and inorganic composite material is applied to the surface of the resultant steel sheet.
