Abstract:

To provide a nonoriented silicon steel sheet which has improved high frequency core loss and fatigue characteristics without causing the remarkable embritleness and increase in the hardness thereof.

The nonoriented silicon steel sheet has a composition containing, by weight, ≤0.005% C, ≤4% Si, 0.05 to 2% Mn, ≤0.1% P, ≤2% Al, ≤0.02% (inclusive of zero) S, ≤0.005% (inclusive of zero) N and 0.4 to 5% Cr, and further containing Zr by an amount which controls the Zr/C ratio to 2 to 50, and the balance substantially Fe.
