PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a carcinoembryonic antigen specific antibody, by expressing a human nonspecific crossreacting antigen, etc., in a cell using a genetic manipulation, preparing the antigen in large quantities and absorbing an anticancer embryonal antibody using the antigen. CONSTITUTION:mRNA extracted from a cell strain HLC-1 derived from human lung cancer is fractionated by sugar density gradient centrifugation so as to subject a human NCA (nonspecific crossreacting antigen) gene to cloning and cDNA library is prepared using the 2.5kb-4.0kb mRNA. The NCA gene is liberated and identified therefrom and base sequence thereof is analyzed and determined. Total structure of human NCA is revealed based on the solved base sequence.
