Abstract:
To provide a technique that realizes high speed data transfer while ensuring compatibility of a card type storage device with a built-in nonvolatile memory.
The card type storage device with a built-in nonvolatile memory 110 has a plurality of data terminals 131 and 137 to 143, has in an interface part 122 a circuit 221 for discriminating levels of the data terminals, and has pull-up resistors R0 to R7 connected to pull up all or some of the plurality of data terminals to a source voltage. If the discrimination circuit determines that the data terminals connected to the pull-up resistors are in an open state, the bus width (bit count) of data is switched.
