Title:
NONWETTING RAINWEAR AND THE LIKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006348452
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To ensure rainwear and the like (e.g. umbrella, raincoat, rainshoes, rainhat, skiwear, bag) used in rainy and/or snowy days not to get wet themselves with rain or snow.

In order to ensure rainwear and the like used in rainy and/or snowy days not to get wet due to water infiltration or water droplet deposition, fluororesin fiber, fluororesin film, silicone fiber or silicone film is made to bind to the surface of the fabric of the rainwear or the like to effect integration, based on the fact that, like the relationship between rainwater and the surface of leaves of lotus or taro, in the case of these fibers or films, water droplets do not adhere to the face fabric of the rainwear or the like but merely lie thereon even if the water droplets are on the face fabric, since these fibers or films act to repel water by themselves for keeping the face fabric in a dried state.
