Title:
NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR ERASER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000071690
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enhance the erasing property without the coming-off of fibers and protect hands or clothing from smearing during the use by constituting a nonwoven fabric for an eraser of a split-type two-component composite long fibers and extremely fine long split yarn which is at most a specific degree of fineness of a single yarn and composed of a fiber formative polymer generated by splitting the composite long fibers.

The split-type two-component composite long fibers are composed of two kinds of a fiber formative polymer which are mutually non- compatible. The reason why these two kinds of the fiber formative polymer are mutually non-compatible is for the composite long fibers to be easily split, when an impact is inflicted to the fibers. The split-type two-component composite long fibers are split at borderlines of each polymer by split yarn to generate split and extremely fine long fibers of at least 1.5 denier or below. The nonwoven fabric for an eraser is constituted of the split and extremely fine long fibers of 1.5 denier or below of single fibers and the split and extremely fine long fibers are at least constituent fibers. When a degree of fineness of single fiber of the split and extremely fine long fibers is above 1.5 denier, the erasure performance of an obtained nonwoven fabric becomes inferior.
