Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high-strength nonwoven fabric for a filter cloth having both acid and high-temperature heat resistances in combination.
CONSTITUTION: This nonwoven fabric for a filter cloth is obtained by superposing a web (B) prepared by blending polybenzazole-based fiber with polyphenylene sulfide fiber on one surface side of a web (A) composed of the polybenzazole- based fiber, simultaneously superposing a web (C) composed of the polyphenylene sulfide fiber on the other surface side and specifying the ratio (X) in which the web (A) accounts for in the laminated web and the ratio of the web (C) to the web (A) and making the ratio (Z) of the polyphenylene sulfide fiber to the whole polybenzazole-based fiber in the laminated web satisfy the relationship of 1.77X+0.1672≤Z≤0.22X+0.2375. When the nonwoven fabric is used, a bag filter usable even under severe conditions can be obtained.
