Title:
NONWOVEN FABRIC, INTERLACED WITH WATER STREAM, GOOD IN SUITABILITY AND EXCELLENT IN TOUCH AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3138074
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a nonwoven fabric, interlaced with a water stream, having three-dimensionally interlaced ultrafine fiber without any opening, good in suitability, excellent in drapeability and touch and having a high strength.
CONSTITUTION: This nonwoven fabric, interlaced with a water stream, composed of a three-dimensionally interlaced web prepared by interlacing a web produced by a wet process with the water stream, using at least one or more ultrafine fibers having 1-7μm fiber diameter, 1000-2000 aspect ratio and the value of the maximum void diameter within 5 times that of the average void diameter and substantially without any opening. Furthermore, the nonwoven fabric has 1.5×10-1 to 3.0×10-1 surface friction coefficient and ≤1.5×10-2 standard deviation of friction coefficient. This method for producing this nonwoven fabric is to jet a water stream having ≤150μm diameter under ≥100kg/cm2 pressure onto a web on a support having ≤40% opening ratio so as to apply 1-6kW/kg/m application energy and relatively move the web.
