PURPOSE: To produce a lightweight nonwoven fabric interlining, consisting of a reinforced thin nonwoven fabric, having strength and excellent in drape property by laminating a drawn (crossed) continuous filament web to other web and/or nonwoven fabric.
CONSTITUTION: This interlining is obtained by melt-spinning a polyethylene terephthalate resin and depositing the spun fiber onto a net-like endless belt so as to arrange in longitudinal direction, drawing the resultant filament web 5-20 times by roll drawing method to form a drawn continuous filament web, laminating the drawn web so that arranging axes of the webs cross to afford a drawn crossed continuous filament web having 1-80g/m2 basis weight and 0.7-1.3 length/width strength ratio, laminating the drawn crossed continuous filament fiber or laminating the drawn crossed continuous filament fiber to other web having elasticity, etc., and/or nonwoven fabric to form a reinforced thin nonwoven fabric and further applying an adhesive onto the one side of the nonwoven fabric.
