Title:
NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR OFFSET PRINTING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05278316
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the generation of printing finish inferiority having become an issue heretofore by improving the compatibility of a nonwoven fabric for offset printing with the ink on a printing surface.

CONSTITUTION: By applying corona discharge treatment to a nonwoven fabric for offset printing in the end of a nonwoven fabric processing stage, the surface free energy of a printing surface is enhanced and the compatibility of the nonwoven fabric with printing ink is enhanced. By this method, the compatibility with printing ink is enhanced as compared with a conventional nonwoven fabric for offset printing and printing finish is improved and printing pressure is also reduced. Too high or low moisture content and surface quality inferiority due to formation cause printing finish inferiority heretofore but, by the enhancement of the compatibility with printing ink, those minus factors are compensated and printing finish inferiority can be eliminated.
